The Refinery is the ultimate wedding venue in Oklahoma that’s able to host your entire event from rehearsal dinner to reception, all in one place! It boasts two floors of flexible events space that’s ideal for large weddings, though corporate parties, private galas and more intimate events are beautifully hosted here as well. We even offer five private hotel suites in the adjacent historic Jewel Box Hotel that allows you to stay at the venue with your family and friends. Any event is highlighted by the historic architecture, authentic details and industrial style found throughout, and the iconic views of downtown Bartlesville can be admired from our oversized windows or private rooftop.

Most couples get married on the second floor in front of the broad curve window that wraps the corner of this refined Chicago School Building, with views in each direction and crystal chandeliers overhead.

Architectural Backdrops

The space is quickly reconfigured to have the ceremony under a grand interior brick jack arch or in front of one of our many tripartite window bays, all depending on the couple’s preference.

Soak up the views of famous skyscrapers while you capture a trademark photo from the rooftop of the Johnstone-Sare Building. The golden hour and sunset in Oklahoma are especially dreamy up there!

Flexible Reception Space

For larger weddings, couples wed on the second floor, and host their reception on the third. Each floor offers ADA bathrooms, catering facilities and elevator access – for an ideal one-location venue!

Single Level Celebrations

Smaller weddings and events can take place on the third floor only, which offers the same locations for ceremonies and seating, and looks lovely with guests seated at tables for a different feel.

Get Ready for Your Big Day or Stay On-Site in Private Suites

The “Jewel of Downtown Bartlesville,” as listed in the National Register of Historic Places, is a 115-year-old historic building on the main street of downtown Bartlesville. Now named the Jewel Box Hotel, it was fully restored in 2015 and the apartments were added in 2017. All of our private accommodations include a queen-sized bed, renovated bathroom, a full kitchen, workspace, and all the comforts of home. Along with an elevator and keypad entry, these second-floor units offer convenient access through a private hallway in the historic Johnstone-Sare Building, where some of the biggest oil deals were struck, and historic figures like Frank Phillips and J. Paul Getty had their first offices.

Take a look at our five uniquely designed apartment-style suites, exclusively available as part of The Refinery event packages. Each Jewel Box apartment highlights a different color palette, with Jewel Box 1 being “Rubies and Cognac,” Jewel Box 2 being the “Diamond and Pearl Suite,” 3 is the “Emerald and Vermouth Suite,” and 4 is the “Sapphire Suite,” while the Bridal Suite is “Topaz and Champagne.” You arrive at your suite through the hall of enchantment, an interestingly angled pathway of some mystery winding through the space with a ceiling that glows like a lapis lazuli sky. Dreamy!
