OSU Mascot Pistol Pete visited a very special wedding at our venue

Oklahoma State Univerisity mascot Pistol Pete attends an OSU alumni wedding in Bartlesville

The real OSU Pistol Pete visted The Refinery at the Johnstone-Sare Building. Yes, our bride is such a die-hard Oklahoma State fan, she invited Pistol Pete to celebrate her wedding! We love this beautiful bride who bleeds orange, and comes out pistols firing!

p.s. It was also very fitting that Pistol Pete visited our venue, because the actual Pistol Pete was from Bartlesville. Owner Crystal Sare shares this story about Pistol Pete’s deep ties to her family: “The real Pistol Pete, Frank Eaton, knew my Father. During my Father’s teenaged years, he went to upstate New York to work on a dude ranch as a real Oklahoma cowboy. Having no stories of the wild west to tell around the campfire, my Dad wrote back home to Frank Eaton, and Mr. Eaton wrote stories by hand and sent them to my Dad, so he could entertain the New Yorkers vacationing at that dude ranch so long ago. My Dad was fortunate enough to go on to OSU after College High School. It was always a treat to get Pistol Pete’s letters out of that box in the closet and read them, when I was growing up.”
